We are looking to hire an entry-level Assistant Video Editor to assist our Senior Editors with file prep and delivery of our media assests.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Video Editor to join our dynamic team. As an Assistant Video Editor, you will play a vital role in the post-production process, working closely with our video editors to create engaging and high-quality video content for our audience. If you are passionate about video editing, have a keen eye for detail, and are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Assist in Video Editing: Collaborate with the video editing team to assist in editing and assembling raw video footage, ensuring that the content meets quality standards and adheres to the creative vision.

Footage Organization: Organize and manage video assets, including footage, sound files, and graphics, to maintain an efficient and well-structured video library.

Video Effects and Transitions: Assist in adding effects, transitions, and other enhancements to video content to improve visual appeal and storytelling.

Synchronization: Ensure synchronization of audio and video elements in the editing process.

Quality Control: Review edited content to identify and rectify any errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the video production team, including videographers, producers, and graphic designers, to deliver high-quality video content.

Software Expertise: Stay up to date with the latest video editing software and technologies to enhance the quality of the final product.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in video editing or a related field is a plus, but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools).
  • Basic knowledge of audio editing software and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A creative mindset with a passion for video production and storytelling.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $12.00 – $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends
