Job Description
Position Objective/Mission:
The video editor/ motion graphics artist plays a key role in executing creative content that meets our external and internal clients desired goals. This role works closely with the producers and directors to promote the company mission and goals through creative content and storytelling.
Note: Job pay range depending on years of relevant experience and skills as defined in role and applicable to agency needs. May be more or less than amount noted on Indeed posting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Highly proficient communicator and team collaborator with experience in all phases of post-production
- Support Production team with creative storytelling to elevate content
- Advanced editorial skills from organization to color grading and audio sweetening
- Assist in creative editing approaches to achieve desired outcomes requested by various directors/producers
- Continually develop and research editorial trends to keep Treeline at the forefront of creative production
- CONTENT NEEDS YOU WILL BE SUPPORTING
- Editorial of long-form and short-form content
- Organization and archival of project assets (includes maintaining media raids and the backups and archives of content on the raids)
- Color grading of final edits
- Audio sweetening of final edits
- Delivery of final edits
Required Skills:
Required Technologies and Applications
- Experience with Davinci Resolve and it’s workflow
- Proficient knowledge of broadcast standards and workflows
- Knowledge of design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator preferred
- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects or similar 2d/3d Animation software required
- Working knowledge of shared media raids over multiple workstations
Communication:
- Demonstrate robust communication skills and timely, thoughtful engagement through email, in person and other forms of communication.
- Self Starter and ability to work on multiple ongoing editorial projects while providing a stress free demeanor to coworkers and clients.
- Work to consistently develop personal communication skills with the team and with clients
- Demonstrate attention to detail, good organizational and time-management skills
- Work closely with production team to ensure brand consistency for all projects
- Support ongoing marketing and development efforts for the agency with innovative ideas and collaboration on pitches.
- Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest graphic trends and editing styles and generate new ideas to draw audience attention.
- Maintain regular communication with Treeline agency management on ongoing development of these areas.
Core Functions:
- Coordinate with the Production Director and Post Management for all editorial needs.
- Ability to tell engaging stories
- Responsible for ensuring finished content is in accord with the client’s strategy, marketing goals and objectives to ensure consistency with the Company’s core messaging and branding.
- Ensures deliverables are in line with creative briefs. Effectively interprets needs and develops solutions as part of this strategy.
- Demonstrate speed and accuracy in acquiring just the right amount of visuals and quick rough assembly in editorial with strong editorial sensibilities.
- Executes edits and assists with pre-production, as needed. As part of the creative team, contributes to concepting, storyboarding, and planning.
Ongoing Review:
- First 30 days will flesh out in detail the scope of the job / role / function
- We will do a 60 day review and a 90 day review. Then, a 1 year regular annual review of the progress
- Additional scope may be clarified as we progress through the onboarding process
Additional Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Working understanding of Unreal Engine and its use in live production environments is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $75,300.00 per year
