The Journalist/Videographer will create compelling articles and videos from the research phase through publication in order to support the mission of this government program. This position is responsible for producing weekly content for both digital and print media, as well as capturing photos and videos targeted to specific audiences.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•Research, pitch, and set up story ideas

•Research, pitch, and set up interviews with senior level civilian and military leaders in Latin

America

•Produce weekly content (interviews, stories, photo-essays, etc.) for a digital magazine and

associated social media platforms

•Write stories for the digital and print magazine

•Write content for social media platforms, as needed

•Communicate stories to targeted audience through words, images, videos

•Capture and edit photos and videos

•Ability to edit photos and videos, as required

•Travel, as required, in the region

•Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

Education:

•Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media, Communications, or a related field

Experience:

•Minimum three plus (3+) years of experience in a position that is responsible for independently

creating news, video, and photo content

Skills & Abilities:

•Expert knowledge of journalism norms and ethics

•Familiarity with a wide variety of video and photo editing tools

•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

•High level of organizational and problem-solving skills

•Superior interpersonal and relationship building abilities

•Proficiency in various Google Suite and Microsoft products

•Strong reporter skills and ability to do one-on-one interviews with professionalism, including

video interviews

Work Environment:

•Onsite office environment

•Travel to different locations required

Clearance:

•Secret clearance preferred; ability to obtain/maintain required

Other:

•Fluency English/Spanish or English/Portuguese (Brazil) required

$70,000 – $85,000 a year
