**Photographer and Videographer**

Washington, District of Columbia / xx – Internal Management 3 – Pending Clearance/Award / Full-time – 001 As the photographer and videographer for , a candidate will collaborate with client stakeholders in a government agency’s Public Affairs Office. You will be filming and taking photos onsite at agency events and ceremonies as needed. Beyond editing, the videographer/photographer is responsible for editing, managing, and archiving all assets. This role is client-facing and requires someone who can work independently to manage client expectations and requests. It is also part of a team of contractors that provide communications and public relations work internally and externally across a variety of channels for this federal agency. **Objective 1: Through specialized experience in photography and videography, capture agency and stakeholder events and ceremonies, edit the assets, and have them available for use for communication products.**

+ Use of camera equipment that may range from standardized equipment found in any commercial camera shop, such as 35 mm cameras and video camcorders, to more specialized equipment used primarily by professional photographers including medium and large format cameras

+ Work on the Mac platform – Must be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, After Effects, Adobe Acrobat Professional, InDesign, and MS Office Suite

+ Independently perform photo retouching, image compositing, and manipulation

+ Shoot and edit compelling, technically proficient video

+ Assemble and disassemble videography, photography, lighting, and audio equipment for shoots and projects

+ Operate lights and audio equipment

+ Research and obtain music for incorporation with videos or other content

+ Use video and image editing, digital file formats, analog and digital photography, compression tracks and techniques

+ Research new audiovisual techniques and equipment and provide recommendations for the purchase of specialized camera and video production equipment and software as needed

+ Maintain videography and photography calendar

+ Organize and archive SEC videos and photos

+ Provide excellent customer service skills

+ Interact well with clients, co-workers, and management

+ Ability to work a flexible schedule, including attendance at evening and/or weekend events and travel as required (rare need)

**Education/Training/Past work requirement**

+ Associates degree in photography, videography, graphic design or related field and two years of professional experience in photography and general video production in a government, corporate, or organizational setting.

+ An equivalent combination of education and photography/videography experience may be substituted.

+ The successful completion of an accredited certificate program in a related field is a plus.

+ A past work portfolio is required during interview process Candidates considered must have a professional photography portfolio that demonstrates their use of digital photography and videography including lighting, composition, color quality, and aesthetics.
