We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Editor to join our in-house post-production team. As a Senior Editor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our clients’ stories through expertly crafted video content. You will lead the editing process, ensuring the highest quality and creative excellence in every project. Responsibilities Work closely with Directors, Producers, and other creative team members to understand project objectives, creative vision, and desired outcomes. Take raw footage and assemble it into a polished product, incorporating elements such as music, sound effects, and graphics, while maintaining a strong narrative flow. Apply a keen sense of visual storytelling, using pacing, rhythm, and timing to enhance the emotional impact and effectiveness of each video. Demonstrate expertise in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and stay updated with industry-standard software and technology. Ensure consistent color treatment and grading to maintain visual continuity throughout the video. Enhance videos with appropriate sound design, including dialogue editing, music selection, and sound effects, while ensuring high-quality audio mixing. Mentor and provide guidance to junior editing team members, fostering their growth and development. Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed, providing insights and recommendations on post-production aspects of projects. Conduct thorough reviews of edited content to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to brand guidelines Organize, collect, and archive all projects to current SixSpeed standards. Oversee and manage the organization of the video server and archival processes. Requirements Proven history of professional video editing experience, preferably in an advertising agency or production company. Proficient in industry-standard editing software. Strong understanding of color correction, audio mixing, and sound design principles. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Portfolio demonstrating a range of editing styles and techniques. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
