We are looking for a full time editor who can work in person at our office in Brooklyn (most of the time). The ideal candidate is someone who is both organized/efficient and also highly creative. There will be times when you will be required to work on multiple projects a day, so being able to juggle that and keep things organized and clean for other members of the team to be able to jump into any project is mandatory. When timing allows, we are looking for this person to be able to not just cut a spot to the boards, but to explore creatively and push the boundaries. Working as a part of a team will be a huge part of this role. This editor will be working alongside our current editor and head of post, in addition to collaborating with our directors and multiple post production vendors. We are currently a Resolve based studio. Ideally, you already know Resolve fairly well, but if you are a premiere user, transitioning is very easy. You won’t ever need to do heavy lifts when it comes to animation or VFX, but having a base understanding of motion graphics and a touch of VFX knowledge would be a plus.
