The DOL Communications team is looking for a highly creative production and live event videographer who can travel with the Commissioner, who thrives in a collaborative team environment and who loves the challenge of producing impactful video campaigns. Experience in traveling to and shooting live events is a must Educational substitutions: o Bachelor’s degree and two years of specialized experience o Associate’s degree and four years of specialized experience o JD or Master’s degree and one year of specialized experience Preferent Qualifications: Experience producing, shooting, and editing high quality event video content. Strong cinematography skills. An excellent eye for lighting, staging, framing and creative filming techniques to create dynamic and impactful videos. Technologically savvy. When needed, Travel throughout New York State to various DOL events to shoot and produce social media content on a deadline. Ability to work both in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and independently. Excellent coordination and management skills. Superb organizational and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects from start to conclusion on time. You must send us your demo reel with your resume. Duties Description Standard Duties: As an employee of the Communications Office the incumbent completes the full range of operations and production projects as follows: Travel on a regular basis (approximately 50%), shoot and edit on location while covering our commissioner’s appearances at events. Produce creative in-house videos assigned by communications leaders Manages and track progress of projects to ensure timely completion Ensure on-time execution and delivery of high-quality video productions Develop and pitch video story ideas Act as crew chief/field producer for certain off-site shoots Set up and operate in field productions Functions as senior editor on advanced video production projects. Conduct interviews with video subjects Coach on-screen talent and voice talent Keep yourself current with the latest developments and trends in video production Additional Comments Travel percentage will be 50%.
