The Opportunity
We are continuing to grow our client base through long-term projects that are great opportunities for our agency to get in the door and build relationships with national brands/clients.
We would consider FREELANCE, CONTRACT or FULL-TIME in-house Social Content Creators to join our team, with the potential for the role to become a full-time employment opportunity, if that is what you are looking for.
We want passion and creativity in developing, shooting and editing social content for one or more brands/clients. You have an ability to understand social channels and their audiences, translating their needs into opportunities for brands to intersect with. You have experience in communicating ideas and love collaborating with others, from social/PR strategists to art directors and designers. You think and act like an “influencer” would.
Core Responsibilities & Skills
- Know our clients, know their products, know their customers and help us contribute to making them wildly successful. We take pride in understanding the business and customers of our clients.
- Have a deep knowledge of all video-first social networks (TikTok, Instagram Reels, LIVE, YouTube & YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest)
- Create and produce highly shareable content (e.g., videos, GIFs, reels, memes, stories, etc.) to drive engagement and audience growth on our social channels
- Plan, coordinate and capture content during photo & video editorial shoots
- Shoot and edit in and out of native social app environments, both on location and on the go
- Have sharp videography & photography skills, including how to set lighting and backgrounds with and without gear and possess strong knowledge of technique for both
- Ability to stay current and knowledgeable about content, music and cultural social trends, along with new technologies and platforms
- Confidently pitch ideas and concepts to both our creative team and our clients, advocating for your ideas through relevant knowledge and insights
- Be flexible, nimble, resourceful and have fun-after all, this is advertising, not brain surgery.
- Be fun to work with. We’re going to spend a lot of time together, so we should enjoy working together for many hours a day.
- Understand that your team is going to push and challenge you to do your best.
- Collaborate with social/PR strategists, creative directors, art directors and graphic designers to develop content plans and shoots
- Ability to shoot at the drop of a hat, edit efficiently and build authentic audiences who are interested and engaged
QUALIFICATIONS:
- You are interested in current trends, move at the speed of culture and are agile & flexible when developing highly shareable content (videos, GIFs, Reels, Stories, Memes, Digital Stickers)
- We want to see your success on personal and other brands’ social platforms – we understand going viral is not the benchmark for success
- Years of “professional” experience are not important
- Strong understanding of content performance metrics & KPIs
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Pride in your work and the work of the team
