POSITION SUMMARY: Father Flanagan’s Boy’s Home (Boys Town) is seeking a high performing individual for the role of Videographer-Editor. In this role you will work in collaboration with the Senior Video Producer on production and post-production audio/video content for patient/client stories, staff profiles, internal company announcements, social media, content marketing, recruiting, corporate and education, public service announcements and other enterprise-wide projects. This is a key role in the execution of projects for Boys Town. The ideal candidate will be a visual storyteller who can bring compelling multimedia content to life. Strength in post-production disciplines including color grading, audio mix, graphics, basic automation and soundtracking will be key for this position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES: Collaborates with the Senior Video Producer to create audio/video content. Contributes to location scouting, set design, props, scripts and talent selection. Collaborates with content experts, writers, designers, etc. when needed, to fulfill production needs. Operates video camera, wireless mics, audio mixer and studio and location lighting. Coordinates with content specialists/stakeholders when needed to develop scripts from raw footage. Performs post-production tasks, including time coding, rough cuts, voiceover and soundtrack, color grading, audio mix and graphics. Encodes and distributes media in digital format and uploads to hosting sites when needed. Maintains, troubleshoots, and coordinates repair of equipment. Archives footage and maintains database of creative assets, keeping detailed records of all shoots, usage and related documentation. Recommends clients stories and topics for content marketing efforts. Provides footage and collaborates with external production partners and the media. Contributes to audio and video production at special events and media events. Upholds Boys Town brand and ensures consistency in visual standards. Maintains log of project status in designated project management platform (Wrike). Serves as a role model in carrying out the Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home mission. However, other duties may be required and assigned at times and as determined by a supervisor in order to meet the needs of the organization KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to operate video cameras, lenses, lighting systems, wireless mics and audio mixers. Computer skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe Premiere and MacIntosh Operating Systems. High level of professionalism, creativity, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization and with external business contacts in an articulate, professional manner. Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards. Knowledge of online video platforms. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, Journalism, Film or Communications. 3-5 years of experience in audiovisual production including documentary storytelling. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check. Available to travel and work evenings, weekends as needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND EQUIPMENT USAGE: Position requires little to moderate physical activity. Standing and/or walking or at a keyboard workstation or desk. Regularly transporting heavy and bulky audio and visual equipment up to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is typically in a normal office administrative or outdoor environment involving minimal exposure to physical risks.
