I’m working with the Award-Winning contemporary classical composer Roger Rudenstein who is looking to collaborate with an experienced filmmaker for a unique and fascinating fictional twist covering the events leading to, and culminating in Dallas, Texas in 1963. Rudenstein, a prolific composer, seeks a New Haven-based filmmaker (or someone who can travel to and work in New Haven) to shoot for the cinematic release of his newest opera, The Conspiracy of the Assassination of John F. Kennedy.  The work is the composer’s latest addition to his anthology of deeply cutting, thought-provoking, operatic sociopolitical commentaries on America. The work deals with the connection between Kennedy’s murder and the CIA, while also exploring the dark side of Kennedy’s personal life and his involvement in high-level Cold War conspiracies. The studio recording of the opera will serve as the audio for the film, so no sound crew is required. The candidate should be comfortable as a director and cinematographer.  The live-action footage will be rotoscoped in post to create an animated movie. The candidate should be uniquely creative, experienced, organized and have an eye for detail. This project also offers the opportunity for exposure, as Rudenstein’s most recent work has amassed over 100,000 views on YouTube.
