Overview & Responsibilities: The Vice President, Talent Relations and Events will be based in Los Angeles and dual report to EVP Communications, CBS Entertainment (the Network) and the EVP Communications, CBS Studios. They will partner internally with the NY-based Director, Talent Relations and Events, as well as align with the publicity teams at the Network and Studio. The VP will be responsible for day-to-day special talent requests from within and outside the company, executive coverage, and the management and logistics around their appearances for panels and Q&As, charity requests, awards and events, among others, on behalf of the Network and Studio. The VP should have strong communication, organizational, event, and travel planning skills as well as extensive vendor contacts; must also be available to travel as necessary. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Events Plan, budget, and implement special events for CBS Television Network and CBS Studios including but not limited to Award FYC and other series promotional campaign events, charity events, Comicon, TCA, themed parties, tastemaker events and dinners, festival appearances, various series breakthrough celebrations, and company townhalls Coordinate with PR teams for in-person press junkets and occasional press mailers May support events for other in-house Studios too Talent Relations Coordinate and track special requests for talent by internal departments/partners/corporate brands and outside requests Manage special requests from talent Gifting – purchase and budget for talent, executive producer and show gifts for special occasions Coordinate ticketing and attendance for executives and talent for major award shows such as Emmy Awards Executive Relations Plan, schedule and support senior executives at both internal and external special events including but not limited to award shows, charity events, company townhalls, show set visits, conferences, and speaking engagements Philanthropy Prioritize, coordinate, and budget charity requests from internal and external organizations Coordinate financial donations gifts Purchase and seat corporate tables at charity events Coordinate and conduct executive and/or talent presentations and recognitions at charity events Basic Qualifications: 12+ years in Event Planning Management Experience managing teams and vendors for events Ability to travel as required for various events and talent or executive appearances Additional Qualifications: Requires excellent organizational, planning, and budgeting skills Ability to manage, plan and collaborate with an inclusive team and large organization CBS, a subsidiary of Paramount Global, creates and distributes industry-leading content across a variety of platforms to audiences around the world. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Hiring Salary Range: $156,800.00 – 196,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
