Description Amazon is seeking a Sr. Video Editor to partner and collaborate within the Strategic Storytelling unit of the Seller External Relations team. The Sr. Video Editor, is responsible for taking the marketing brief and creating high-end video assets for use across multiple digital platforms. The candidate is a well-versed video storyteller who can develop compelling visual stories and storyboards, whether with new footage or archived video content and transforming it into net new content. The candidate is adept at navigating and developing a post-production workflow, flexing storytelling capabilities as well as the technical knowledge of all video & audio post-production, motion graphics, color correction, and even some small 3D work. They understand how video content is used in multiple video channels – including digital advertising, paid & organic social media, website development, events, and more. They are aware of the latest trends in social media, editing and motion graphic techniques, as well as automation to help develop a nimble and innovative post production environment. They are also open to mentoring, leading by example and setting the tone for creative excellence. The Sr. Video Editor is at their best in a creative environment collaborating with the post-production team, copywriters, designers, and producers ensuring multiple marketing campaigns come to life and business projects and initiatives are successfully delivered against tight deadlines and high creative expectations. Key job responsibilities Core Responsibilities Include Own the end-to-end post-production process for developing and delivering video content for all marketing campaigns and projects Apply video editing, motion graphics, audio editing, color correction and other video production expertise to all in-house multimedia deliverables. Collaborate with creatives, producers, content managers and internal partners and stakeholders to provide the best video solutions for business needs. Drive best practices, continuous improvement, and provide recommendations for innovation. About The Team The Seller External Relations (SER) team ensures that Amazon is viewed globally by external audiences as a valuable, accessible, partner who respects and celebrates the success of its sellers. We create content and tools that demonstrate and celebrate the positive experiences of sellers on Amazon to other sellers, the general public, and influentials (e.g., media and policymakers) with the goal of improving their perception of the experience and benefits of selling in our store. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Seattle, WA, USA Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent technical degree in Film Production 7+ years’ experience video editing and Motion graphics directly with video production software Adobe Premiere & After Effects, and/or Final Cut Pro Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite; specifically After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere. Strong storytelling capabilities 5+ years’ experience on a creative team in an ad agency or corporate marketing department working with live action, real people footage Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite as relates to translating static to motion graphics, video networking and post-production workflows Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as relates to communications and collaboration Online portfolio showcasing scope of qualifying work Passionate storyteller with ability to craft compelling stories by constructing narratives with disparate content Excellent oral and written communication skills with people at various levels, always appropriate to the audience. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
