We’re seeking a Videographer and Motion Designer to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods. Schrdinger has pioneered a physics-based software platform that enables discovery of high-quality, novel molecules for drug development and materials applications more rapidly and at lower cost compared to traditional methods. The software platform is used by biopharmaceutical and industrial companies, academic institutions, and government laboratories around the world. Our multidisciplinary drug discovery team also leverages the software platform to advance collaborative programs and its own pipeline of novel therapeutics to address unmet medical needs. A video production and motion graphic designer who wants to join an internal design team to partner across all functions, departments, and regions A self-directed, self-motivated, detailed collaborator who’s enthusiastic about developing our company’s video production services from the ground up What you’ll do: Conceptualize, design, and produce creative video content, including live footage and motion graphics, from start to finish for multiple channels Support specific projects across teams, including Investor Relations/Corporate Affairs, Marketing, Education, Materials Science, and Drug Discovery Help develop, maintain, and promote Schrdinger’s brand Present and defend concepts, designs, and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders Develop ways to streamline and make efficiencies in the video production process Work on multiple projects at one time, predominantly from our New York office production center, but with an opportunity to film from other global locations when required What you should have: Motion graphic skills using applications such as Adobe After Effects Creativity in editing and post production work, undertaken with a high proficiency in applicable computer applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro An ability to tell a compelling story while communicating complex and coherent concepts At least three years of video production experience within an agency or in-house at a life sciences, pharma, or scientific communications company Excellent organizational acumen and strong attention to detail, with a belief in inventing the wheel only once A high degree of comfort in getting the most out of the subjects being filmed A technical knowledge of the film production process, as well as the utilization, optimization, and maintenance of cameras, lighting, and sound equipment a major plus Pay and perks: Schrdinger understands it’s people that make a company great. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
