Description: Position summary: The Multimedia Designer role is intended to complement a highly dynamic, diverse, and cross-functional creative team by bringing specific strengths in photography and videography content creation and editing. This role will have the opportunity to apply these strengths and other creative thinking and design skills in the marketing of the following musical instrument brands: Jupiter Band Instruments, Altus and Azumi Flutes, XO Brass Instruments, Majestic Concert Percussion, Mapex Drums, and others. Photography and post-processing for products (musical instruments) and musicians (posed and in-action) Video content conceptualization, filming, and editing for product demonstrations, interviews, musical instruction, music lifestyle scenarios for publication on the web (brand sites, YouTube, and other) Development of other multimedia content, including: web-based product selection and demonstration tools, interactive promotional media, info graphics Assist in the conceptualization, design and development of consumer, music educator, and retail customer assets for sales promotions, events, product presentations, training materials, and marketing campaigns Participate as a member of at least three cross-functional teams focusing on either product categories or marketing disciplines, providing additional perspective needed to develop strategic insight and shape marketing direction Participate in the creative process at both a strategic and tactical level, focusing on the development of a differentiated, relevant, and consistent message that is tied to the core position/identity of each brand Development of comps and mock-ups for presentations and creative evaluation and direction Management and execution of projects by assigned deadlines Transparent and regular communication with team members as to projects status Assist in maintenance and investment due-diligence for hardware/software upgrades Assist in maintenance and archival of physical and electronic files Nonessential functions: Will be required to perform other duties as directed, requested or assigned Success factors/job competencies: Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) and to interact in a professional manner when dealing with internal staff, remote team members, consultants, performing artists, retail customers, and consumers. Physical demands: While performing the duties of the job, the incumbent is required to talk and hear and is primarily sedentary. Constant use of both hands/arms in reaching, handling/grasping/fingering while keyboarding, using phone, calculator computer or any other office equipment. Employee will occasionally stand and walk; infrequent occasions to lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work environment: Work is primarily conducted in a temperature-controlled office environment. Work is also conducted at trade shows/clinics and outside (examples: festivals, football fields) which means exposure to those environments. Noise levels vary from quiet to moderate. Occasionally, several hours per day may be spent operating a motor vehicle or traveling in an airplane to satisfy the travel requirements of the job. Requirements: High School Diploma or a state-approved high school equivalency diploma 2+ years of videography/photography experience in a business, agency, freelance, or as a student Proficiency in Video Content Concept Creation, Filming and Editing (including Audio sync) Proficiency in Lifestyle, Action, Model, and Product Photography and Processing Proficiency with Video & Photo Editing Software (Adobe Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, & Lightroom) Detail oriented with excellent time management and project management skills Qualifications desired: Bachelor’s degree in videography and photography or equivalent experience Experience developing lifestyle-based creative content Experience with integrated marketing campaigns Experience in print design and related software (InDesign, Illustrator) Experience with HTML5 and CSS3 code writing is a plus Experience as a musician or in music marketing is a significant plus
