Responsibilities We are looking for talented Senior VFX technical artists to work on our new unannounced AAA game project. You will be working with artists and programmers and helping deliver better visual effects by exploring and developing techniques. What Youll Be Doing: Work with Art and Programming teams to anticipate and solve technical challenges within given constraints and visual requirements; Research new industry technologies and trends and develop new techniques with other VFX artists and engineers to improve the project’s visual quality and efficiency; Build visual effects using UE5s Niagara, Material Editor, and Blueprints; Coordinate with Art, Design, and Animation to ensure VFX match the quality standard and vision for the game; Fix VFX related bugs, including but not limited to performance issues; Help improve technical pipelines and VFX creation techniques/tools. Qualifications We Expect You To Have: Over 5 years of work experience as a technical artist expertising in visual effects; Demonstrable ability to create beautiful and impressive visual effects for games, film/tv, or a combination of both; Experience working within a game engine, preferably Unreal Engine (Niagara); Mastery of relevant software packages such as Houdini, Substance, Photoshop, After Effects and/or Maya; Problem solving and troubleshooting skills; Production experience utilizing particle systems and other forms of dynamic simulations; Experience in development of at least one AAA standard game project. Additional Information This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles (currently hybrid because of pandemic); Current working hours: Monday Friday, 11am 8pm Pacific Time (including one-hour break); Salary depending on experience.
