Staff Accountant, CPA | New York, United States | A24

A24 is seeking a staff accountant who can perform a variety of daily accounting tasks including internal and external reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and documentation of processes and policies. The position reports into our Accounting Manager, and offers significant opportunities for growth. We are looking for someone who is motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and comfortable working independently and within a team. CPA with 3+years of experience required, strong Excel skills and knowledge of US GAAP required. Initial Responsibilities Complete month-end and quarter-end close responsibilities, including account reconciliations and journal entry preparation Monitor customer balances by creating customer aging schedules and perform collections efforts for overdue accounts Assist with quarterly reporting to film participants Collaborate with corporate accounting team on day-to-day activity and financial reporting for subsidiaries and joint ventures Contribute to annual audits by gathering supporting documentation and aiding in preparation of financial statements and footnotes Perform regular reporting for Senior Management’s review accompanied with in-depth analysis Work on ad hoc accounting projects as requested Qualifications 3+ years progressive experience, ideally at a Big 4/Public Accounting firm CPA required Strong organizational and project management skills Effective communicator with the ability to work cross functionally Humble, diligent, resourceful Must be eligible to work in the US. Our target salary range for this role is between $80,000 and $100,000. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training.
