POSITION SUMMARY The Associate Video Editor for the Strategic Initiatives Group (SIG) is responsible for managing SIG video production, including covering all creative and technical aspects, from production development to filming, editing, and other post-production and final delivery of video product for the Digital Media department.In addition, this position archives and performs system back-up for data on all SIG video and other Digital Media assets. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Manages overall video programming, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, pre-production, production and post-production, equipment management, encoding, hosting, web delivery, video production, video related-customer service and audience experience. Coordinates with outside video production agencies, freelance video resources, and technicians. Maintains video studio infrastructure and technical support for various digital media projects for SIG conferences. Directs live webcast experience for SIG conferences and Digital Media programming. Works with Digital Media team related to the sale and fulfillment of streaming video subscriptions. Works with the Director of Strategic Initiatives, Digital Media in developing new business proposals, production estimates, and other quotes for all video and digital media productions. Researches potential program sponsors or partners for future Digital Media programs. Maintains and updates the web-based streaming video portal, and by sending monthly user activity reports. Oversees organization, cataloguing and maintenance of online video inventories, CIA content affiliates, CIA ProChef website video updates, video archiving, and data back-up. Stays abreast of current technology and content delivery formats. Any and all other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of professional work experience as a video editor, creating multi-screen productions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Degree in Film/Television Production, Communications, or related field highly desirable. Experience in a Digital Image Technician (DIT) role. Experience with Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci, and Photoshop. REQUIRED SKILLS Demonstrated proficiency with designing, producing, and editing multi-screen video productions using modern video post-production workflows. Experience with producing and editing web and mobile video content in multiple file formats (QuickTime, Windows Media, H.264, iOS, Android, and Social Media formats). Extensive knowledge of video production and designing multi-media presentations for a live audiences and webcast viewers. Strong creative skills across multiple mediums, ranging from written words to video and graphic design. Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; the ability to be adaptable, dependable and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to show a high level of service responsiveness to customers. Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills required.Must have demonstrated ability in organizational, time management, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Must have a proven, consistent track record showing the ability to work with all levels within an organization. Must display a high level of energy and self-motivation. Strong computer experience, which must include abilities to work effectively with MS Office suite products, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint. WORKING CONDITIONS Occasional domestic and international travel. Must be available to work nights and weekends, as required, on occasion, due to business needs. Regular work requires the use of a computer, sometimes in excess of eight (8) hours per day. Ability to stand and work for extended periods of time during customary service hours.
