Position Overview The photo and photo/video production intern will primarily edit and organize video footage and photography for internal, recruiting, training, and advertising purposes. The videographer will accomplish the bulk of the technical tasks related to pre- production, production and oversee post-production. He or she will help organize, edit, and assist in production on video and photo shoots. They will also assist in the pre-production and production process, assisting in the following job duties: storyboarding, planning, transport, set up, and operation of equipment. This position is a structured internship program. Tasks will include leading, directing and organizing the company’s video committee and revising and improving current processes. Upon completion of employment, the intern should gain organizational and leadership skills as well as leave with a collection of training, recruiting and advertising samples for his/her portfolio. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator Strong organizational skills Assist in developing creative ideas and storyboards Proficient in camera operations and lighting Basic knowledge of Windows operating system, Microsoft Work, Office, Excel Need to provide own transportation Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and in groups Ability to prioritize and set goals on shifting priorities Must be willing to travel to the surrounding work sites and possibly states Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Must be enrolled in or a recent graduate of a film/video degree or certification The individual should have (or be able to quickly gain) knowledge of Internet software, Excel, Word and Outlook. Work Requirements Previous experience in film/editing is preferred. Knowledge/Skill Requirements Ability to read, comprehend and give instructions. Ability to write detailed and accurate correspondences. Ability to speak a foreign language is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software preferred: Word, Excel, etc.… Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Knowledge of basic office practices and protocol Meets commitments. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Follows policies and procedures. Supports organization’s goals and values.
