External/Internal VACANCY BCTV Production Assistant (Part-Time) PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Production Assistant will attend productions and record shows to air on BCTV. They will gain knowledge and experience in television production, directing, running a camera, generating graphics, operating audio and editing programs to air on BCTV. This is an entry level position for an individual that intends to pursue a career in film or television. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Production, direction and editing of programs to air on BCTV Train and supervise volunteers Be a team player Develop ideas and script programs Any other duties assigned by the Assistant Station Manager or Production Manager PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma Must be at least 18 years old Clean driving record Experience working at a television access center (ideal candidate would be a college student studying Film or Television Productions) Outgoing, detail oriented, self-motivated individual that likes working with others Must be able to stand for 2 hours and lift over 25 lbs.
