Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better. Main Objective: The Cinematographer serves as a camera operator and editor for Arthrex, Inc.’s medical education, training, and promotional content. Essential Functions: Operate camera, audio and lighting equipment used to produce high-quality, digital media that educates our audiences. Post-produce content for final delivery. Repurpose video content into multiple digital formats. Research and develop media production tools and best practices. Follow standards and guidelines for consistent corporate identity. Maintain project status within Arthrex project management systems. Offload all media into appropriate storage locations and verify media transferred successfully as well as provide quality control for all recorded footage. Maintain all files in digital asset management system. Operate a motorized camera jib. Produce segments shot on a various DSLR and cinema format cameras. Availability to work weekends when necessary. Assist Producers with pre-production planning. Supervise crew and talent for select, in-house productions when assigned by Producer. Edit complex, high-profile projects as defined by Producer. Assist in developing shotlists. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 7 years of related experience required or Associates Degree plus 4 years of related experience required. 4 years of experience in Adobe Premiere Pro editing and content creation required. Skills: Ability to work on a variety of items daily in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Self-starter and can work autonomously. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements. Effectively communicate ideas and issues to other team members and management. Write and record data and information as required by procedures. Work well with a variety of team members to represent the design viewpoint effectively in a collaborative work environment. Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. Work is performed under general direction. Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Adept working knowledge of industry-standard camera equipment, camera lenses, audio, and lighting equipment. Proficient with After Effects, Prelude, Photoshop, and Apple Operating Systems. Knowledgeable of best practices for studio and field production workflow. Advanced knowledge of composition. Advanced knowledge of lighting and lighting techniques. Advanced knowledge of camera and lens settings and theory like RAW and LOG recording formats, sensor size, ISO, aperture, shutter angle, resolution, frame rate, and white balance. Advanced knowledge of imaging pipelines which includes sending a signal to monitors through Tx/Rx and applying in camera LUTs. Red and Canon Cinema camera experience preferred. Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: Ability to work well with a variety of team members to represent the design viewpoint effectively in a collaborative work environment. Contribute creative solutions in a productive and positive manner. Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: Position requires a knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects, Prelude, Photoshop, as well as the Apple operating system.
