Working as a Production Assistant
Virtual Workshop
Working as a Production Assistant in the Film Industry
Working as a production assistant (“PA” for short, a.k.a. “gofer”) has long been considered the entry point for many professional careers in the entertainment industry. This workshop will put the entry-level role in the spotlight! You’ll come behind the scenes to hear about the plentiful, sometimes painful tasks that PAs (including office PAs, additional PAs, walkie PAs, paperwork PAs, background PAs, first team, PAs and key PAs) are asked to do so the show can go on. Instructor Daniel Scarpati will also briefly elaborate on the freelance lifestyle and explain why he believes that success in showbiz is all about who you don’t know. Q&A throughout.
The session is now full. However, you can still register to get the workshop recording!
