Winter Cabin is a 10-minute short film about a couple – Nolan (Bernard White) and Roxy (Yuching Tsai) – trying to figure out their way of living after a devastating bio-chemical war broke out in the US. While they are trying to find food sources, they are forced to face even more difficult decisions.
We aim to tell a story about survival, love, and decisions we might make as humans in this circumstance. Also, we want to bring attention to the refugee and environmental issues we are facing currently.
Winter Cabin is Yuching Tsai’s first written-produced-starring short film. Her recent film credits include “En Passant”, “Cabaletta”, and “Smuggler and Shortround”.The Director of the film is Michael Huntsman, who has worked with Tsai on En Passant in 2017 and recent directorial credits include “A Girl Like Emily”, “Waste”, and “The Proposal Artist”. The Director of Photography is Sam Schmitz, who’s recent credits include “Wedding Season”, “Heads or Tails”, and “A Nice Guy”.
Winter Cabin will be premiered at 2nd Annual AMAW NYC Film Festival on April 19th 7:00-11:00pm at The Producers Club in midtown Manhattan. For tickets, email jason@anthonymeindl.com OR $16 at door.
