Videographer – Visual Storyteller for Large Social Media Brand

Location: Combate, Cabo Rojo, PR
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Salary Range: $45,000 – $60,000 per year

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled visual storyteller to join our creative team on regular productions. This role requires someone who is highly creative, obsessed with visual storytelling and YouTube (specifically planning and shooting video), they are efficient, and very consistent in output. We have a team of A Player creatives. The ideal candidate will improve the visuals of our productions for our millions of fans worldwide through creativity and effort. This position offers the opportunity to grow and take on more responsibilities, with potential for career advancement within the company.

Top Objectives and Responsibilities

1. Film video production shoots & increase overall production quality

• Operate the camera effectively
• Be efficient in setting up camera, lighting, and be adept at problem solving
• Consider the story and effectively shot shot lists

2. Build effective video production plans for videos

• Build engaging visual storytelling plans based off detailed stories we are have planned to tell
• Storyboard shot lists
• Plan for requirements and constraints of given shoots
• Work with production to turn ideas into reality

3. Location scouting

• Find visually compelling locations that help tell an engaging story

4. Misc videos and photos

• As needed assist with things like small photoshoot setup and helping talent capture footage for social media posts

5. Research and purchase production gear as needed

6. Work closely with production team to facilitate successful shoots

Success Criteria:

• Increase the number of comments about “satisfying or stunning visuals” by 10% in 2 months. 25% in 3 months.
• Decrease time spent per beat filmed by 10% in 2 months. 25% in 3 months.
• Create a detailed shot plan for 100% of productions
