Videographer for FortNine Vancouver

FortNine is a rapidly growing motorcycle and powersports e-commerce company. Becoming a FortNiner means joining a team of multidisciplinary experts passionate about making an impact on the industry and redefining how people shop in Canada.

FortNine is looking for a one-person movie-making machine. We need a can-do attitude; someone willing to adapt, learn and improvise in order to produce the best content with a small and efficient team. You see simpler routes to complex production. Can we carry the drone to get a gimbaled shot? Can we make a dolly movement with an office chair? These are the questions you ask to get the most out of every shoot. Location scouting, shot planning, filming, editing and audio engineering are in your wheelhouse. You are able to take a video all the way from conception to publication. FortNine produces content for the motorcycle industry. You will be working with an experienced scriptwriter and video presenter to create in-studio product reviews, vlogs and shot-on-location short films. We love to play with artistic shots and inventive storylines. If you have some far-out film ideas that you’d like to try – we’ll try ‘em!

Essential Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in visual journalism, filmmaking, videography or similar.
• OR, 3 years relevant work experience.
• Fluency with video equipment, including DSLR and Super 35 cameras, Zoom mics, lav mics, studio lighting, stabilizers, GoPros, etc.
• Fluency with video editing software (Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci, etc.).
• A valid driver’s license.
• A passion for motorcycles and outdoor activity.
• A flexible schedule. When filming bike reviews, we often spend several days on location.
• Experience with simple animation and after effects.

Useful Qualifications:

• Experience with motion graphics is an asset.
• Experience filming action or outdoor sports is an asset.
• Experience piloting drones is an asset.
• A motorcycle license is an asset.
