Montreal Actors Needed for Short Film

LOGLINE: A boy with an unusual birthmark overcomes his bullies with a little help from his favourite classic horror movies.

CHARACTERS
SOUL (Male): 13-16. A clever outsider who has a unique birthmark on his face (will be applied with make-up). Lives with his single mom. Old-school horror movies are his escape. Soul doesn’t say much, but he drives the story. Must be comfortable on a skateboard.

JOJO (Male): 14-16: A bully who wants to prove he is cool. Probably the victim of a different kind of bullying at home.

ZACH (Male): 14-16: The bully’s henchman. Doesn’t hate Soul, but wants Jojo’s approval for everything he does. Must be comfortable on a skateboard.

SASHA (Female): 14-16. Smart, strong and self-destructive. Intrigued by Soul because he’s different. Disapproves of the bullying.

COMMENTS: This is an opportunity for new, non-union actors to work with an award-winning director. We’re looking for courageous young performers who love a good story. We are committed to diverse, inclusive casting. The project is in English but actors with accents are welcome to submit. Submitting groups of friends is also welcome.
