Job Description

Title: Post Production Assistant
Department: Post Production

Direct Supervisor: Director of Post Operations

General Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the day to day needs of the Post Production Department.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs as part of a team that oversees the daily checking of tapes in and out of the Vault and other storage facilities as needed.
  • Completes and reports progress of Vault assignments to Post Operations Management daily.
  • Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the Vault at all times.
  • Accurately processes tapes into the company tracking system.
  • Accurately and efficiently ingests and digitizes tapes into the storage area network (SAN).
  • Dubs footage of various formats (i.e. DVCam, XD Cam, digital files etc.).
  • Performs and understands various administrative projects (i.e. filing, labeling and organizing).
  • Executes Post Department runs per the direction of Post Operations Management.
  • Assists with the inventory and upkeep of edit equipment.
  • Demonstrates reliability and diligence in attendance.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be organized and able to track multiple project deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must be capable and comfortable with interaction amongst all levels of Post Production.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • At least 2 years of administrative and/or Post Production experience preferred.
  • An interest in Post Production is preferred.
  • Must be able to operate and understand multiple technical systems (i.e. Pilotware, AIIngest, Duplication and Digitizing Decks).
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Physical Demands:

  • This position requires lifting of no more than 40 pounds unassisted.
  • This position requires substantial computer use and the candidate should be able to sit or stand for the duration of their shift.

Work Environment:

  • This position requires no travel.
  • This position may require the use of company vehicle for work related tasks.
