The Rental Coordinator/Prep Tech is a key position that supports Six Digits Productions customer service goals and provides administrative support in equipment scheduling.
We are looking for a business orientated individual with good experience in the film equipment rental industry to serve as a Rental Coordinator/Prep Tech at our fast growing Rental House.
This person must be a skilled multitasker, quick learner and have impressive interpersonal skills. Dealing with many different aspects of the business, this person will need to be able to gain a thorough understanding of our operations and procedures.
We seek someone who is most comfortable in an environment of multi-tasking and problem solving.
The Rental Agent oversees, coordinates and manages rentals and bookings, working closely with clients to ensure quality customer service.
We seek a creative, self-motivated individual with 1-2 years of experience in the film equipment rental industry. A Bachelor’s degree in Film/TV production preferred or related field experience preferred, but not required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service to existing and potential clients by being courteous, responsive and resourceful
Build quotes based on incoming rental requests
Negotiate rental rates for equipment orders with productions
Answer technical and subjective questions about cameras, lenses and support equipment
Place orders for equipment sub-rentals and ensure invoices subsequently received are properly invoiced
Coordinate timely delivery and return of equipment
Update & maintain barcode system and tracking document used to schedule/assign equipment for projects
Coordinate to ensure each job has the proper Cameras, Lenses, and Support Gear required for a successful completion of the job
Work with Chief Operating officer to ensure that the Camera Equipment is serviced in a timely manner
Ensure all paperwork is properly completed in a timely manner
Provide general administrative assistance in the office, including, but not limited to, ordering supplies, answering emails and assisting during prep
Maintains and organizes all camera gear/equipment within the office
Qualifications:
Exceptional Customer Service skills
1-2 years experience at a camera rental house, preferred
Knowledge of cinema cameras (i.e. ARRI, RED, SONY, etc), lenses, and accessories is required
Bachelor’s degree in film and television or related field of study, preferred but not required
Familiarity with Mac operating system
Physical Requirements:
Lifting up to 40-50 lbs. of cases and/or equipment
Sitting and standing for long periods of time

Echo Park, CA 90026: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
Camera Rental House: 1-2 years (Preferred)
Cinema Cameras: 1-2 years (Preferred)
Customer service: 1-2 years (Preferred)
