Project Type: Films
Job Date: Ongoing
Compensation: Paid
Union Status: Non-Union

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Editor to work with us on a three-part documentary series that has to do with a pop culture phenomenon in the 1980s. The three-person editing team on the project will work mostly remote but with high speed shared storage enabling them to work together. The duration of the role is 48 weeks.

This is an archive heavy project that will be cut on AVID Media Composer. Experience in all phases of production on nonfiction film/TV projects is a huge plus, and AVID fluency will be necessary. The AE will need to be technically adept, especially in regards to encoding, ingesting media, organizing the project, and stringing out and cutting as needed. They will also need to be comfortable assisting in delivery.

The abilities to multitask and problem solve are a must, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

We are a small but busy production company with various projects in the works, and are always looking for new people to join our team. A great performance on this production could easily lead to a position on the next.
