Video Editor Needed in New York

Atlantic Pictures (www.atlanticpictures.com) seeks a Video Editor for short form branded and marketing content. The ideal candidate is an expert editor in Premiere who is comfortable taking direction from producers, clients, and directors to put together creative work and craft compelling digital content.

Typical projects include commercials for both web and broadcast, sales videos, corporate interviews and event coverage, and branded content. The successful applicant has a wide range of creative styles; excellent technical ability and can translate the director’s vision while adding meaningful creative input. A comprehensive knowledge of Premiere Pro is a must. After Effects is a big plus.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 5 years of commercial editing and motion graphics, VFX experience a plus
• Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and Creative Cloud products. After Effects and Davinci Resolve are a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills between other editors, producers, and clients
• Ability to take videos from start to finish including basic color correction & sound mixing for web delivery
• Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously while sticking to schedule and deadlines
• Highly organized in project management
• Past creative work that reflects a strong aesthetic and excellent taste
• Ability to craft a narrative in an interview based video without paper cut or script
• Extensive knowledge of post production pipelines
• Passion for optimizing video storytelling
• Creative problem-solver
