Editor Needed for Indie Feature in Los Angeles — Paid

I’m Marlin Darrah, the director of EGYPTIAN AFFAIR, a 90-min dramatic micro-Indie movie, now in post-production, filmed on-location in EGYPT last month. The story is about several American tourists taking a Nile river cruise, but along the way friendships and marriages are jeopardy when a seductive stranger boards the boat, and a blackmail scheme is hatched. I’m in need of an experienced editor that can edit our 40 hours of 6K Black Magic-shot media. The visual material is pretty stunning, as you can imagine with plenty of Egypt locations and details, and strong acting performances. I would oversee the editing, but not on a day-to-day basis, giving the editor fairly wide latitude regarding editing decisions. I usually work with Premier Pro. This is a suspense-light adventure drama and one that should be a good credit to add to any editor’s resume. You can see more about this movie at (link removed) I would like to start the editing on April 12. This is a micro-budget movie and we realize the per-hour pay is tiny ($16/hour), but we need help from someone that has experience cutting at least one or two feature films. I anticipate this is at least an 8-10 week project. I live here in West LA (I’m at Westwood Blvd and Olympic Blvd) and ideally would like to meet and talk to describe the project, at an pleasant outdoor cafe in Westwood Village, before the edit starts. Editing would be at your place, hopefully in West LA. Our previous indie movie was “Amazon Queen” (link removed) and that movie won 135 awards and nominations at 80 film festivals worldwide.
