This role will be based in Vancouver, BC, or Las Vegas, NV, and legal ability to work in the respective country is required. The salary for this role is $60k-$65k.

The Cinematographer/Videographer/Editor (“CVE”) will co-report to the Content Production Manager (“CPM”), and the Vice President (“VP”) of FlyOver Attractions.

The CVE will provide creative direction and production, where needed, for all aspects of internal video, digital, and asset production projects for FlyOver Productions. Typical projects for the CVE could include complete project management of ‘BTS’ film and pre-show creations, film and attraction trailers, in-attraction pre and post show video/digital content, FlyOver safety video’s, FlyOver training videos, and more.

In addition, the CVE will be part of the FlyOver Productions film team, as needed, and will gain exposure in the production and postproduction techniques for FlyOver films.

Support will also be provided for creative projects that support FlyOver Attractions operations, marketing, and sales that are focused on elevating the FlyOver brand and guest experience.

This role is key to bringing FlyOver creative projects to life successfully and maximizing the creative potential of the work.

The CVE will demonstrate expert-level project management and/or implementation (concept, production, directing, and editing as needed per project) while also participating in the production of FlyOver films.
A passion for making a difference while using the flying ride format as a vehicle to curate meaningful and exciting guest entertainment is one of the most important aspects of this position.

  • Produce creative projects with multiple types of deliverables and of various complexities, size, and budgets while working closely with, and support, the larger creative team
  • Review of creative work during development for feasibility, budget, and look for ways to maximize the level of creative execution.
  • Oversee project workflow, budgets, and deliverables in conjunction with the CPM.
  • Develop new strategies and workflows to maximize efficiency.
  • Engage and manage any third-party vendors, contractors, and/or production companies.
  • Develop industry partnerships, where appropriate.
  • Experience overseeing the full cycle of short film production from concept to editing to final product on a small scale’
  • Ability to confidently lead production on projects, ask questions others may not be thinking about and make decisions
  • Excellent creative problem-solving skills
  • Previous works with both outside production companies and internal production partners.
  • Advanced experience in all aspects of film production (concept, production, post-production, including editing)
  • Relevant knowledge of web, mobile and software technologies
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Final Cut X preferred
