STORYLINE: 
Halima is a mother in crisis. She must decide whether to honour her ancient tradition, or deal with the unexpected consequences.

• Other regions that speak Kiswahili are Somali, Burundi and Rwanda.
• We are seeking actors who are proficient in Kiswahili.

HALIMA – LEAD ROLE – FEMALE – 35-45 YRS OLD – EAST AFRICAN
Halima has finally found her voice. No longer wanting to please others, Halima finally found the strength to leave her husband of 15 years and the father of her child, Salama. She is determined to live her life as she sees fit, no matter the cost.
PAY RATE:  $1,200.00 ($400 = 2 days of rehearsal, $800 = 3 days of shooting) – Exact days/time TBC

NEEMA – PRINCIPAL RORLE – 35-45 YRS OLD – EAST AFRICAN
A headstrong, and stubborn woman and the clear matriarch of the women in her community. Her priority is to keep the women within her community in line, especially Halima.
PAY RATE:  $960.00 ($ 400 = 2 days of Rehearsal, $ 560 = 3 days of shooting) – Exact days/time TBC

RUTH – PRINCIPAL ROLE – 35-45 YRS OLD – EAST AFRICAN 
A timid, laid-back woman and a follower of Neema. Witty and always with quick response, Ruth is a friend you need.

MODAWA – PRINCIPAL ROLE – 35-45 YRS OLD – EAST AFRICAN 
Modawa is a quiet, timid, well-mannered woman with a heart of gold. Often the company of Ruth and Neema, Modawa is always level-headed.
PAY RATE:  $525.00 ($200 =1 day of Rehearsal, $350, 2 ( 5 hrs each ) days of shooting) – Exact days/time TBC
