STORYLINE:  
A narrative short film which follows a young woman who comes home to her father’s enshrined infidelity.

CASTING COMMENTS:
Oyin Olalekan is a Poet, Screenwriter, and Filmmaker. Her solo exhibition Speaking (in Tongues) was followed by an appearance of her work in the Sawubona Project. She is a Winter Tangerine Writing fellow, and was selected as an Emerging Director by the Doc Institute’s New Visions Program. She holds a Masters Degree in Media Production from Ryerson University and is always reaching for the next story to tell.

CASTING:

ADESOLA – LEAD ROLE – FEMALE – 18-25 YRS OLD – BLACK/NIGERIAN 
Black / Nigerian. Adesola is a watchful young woman. Safety, security, and service are her core values. She’s skeptical of all things new: whether furniture, restaurants, styling choices or major life milestones. She is the cautious, watchful older sister who thinks three times before she speaks.

BOLA – LEAD ROLE – FEMALE – 35-45 YRS OLD – BLACK/NIGERIAN 
Black / Nigerian. Bola is the mom-in-chief and the glue of the family. Between her salon and deep pots of food, she’s well known in the neighborhood.
