CASTING AND PRODUCTION NOTES:  
• Rehearsal: March 20th-23rd of 2022 (3-hour blocks) (NON PAY)
• Shoot Dates: March 25-27th of 2022 (PAY)
• Location: Toronto, ON (GTA)
• COMPENSATION: $100/day (Not included in Rehearsals) (It’s not much, however, it is an honest offer on our end)
• Details: Based on the 2004 Chai Vang Events in Minnesota.
• Please do not submit if you cannot commit to the rehearsal and shoot days.

STORYLINE:  
A Hmong hunter suffering from PTSD experience discrimination in America. When provoked by a group of White men in the forest, he’s pushed to his breaking point. Inspired by the 2004 Chai Vang incident.

CASTING:

AL LASKI – LEAD ROLE – MALE – 35-45 YRS OLD – CAUCASIAN 
MALE, CAUCASIAN, early 40’s. Al is often the butt of everyone’s jokes but is a good sport about it. He loves hunting and fishing and is an easygoing guy.

BOB CROTTEAU – ACTOR ROLE – MALE- 35-45 YRS OLD – CAUCASIAN 
MALE, CAUCASIAN, early 40’s. Very protective of his property and can be abrasive when coming across trespassers. He’s direct but kind to those he loves. (Must be comfortable riding on an ATV)

JOEY CROTTEAU – ACTOR ROLE – MALE – 18-25 YRS OLD – CAUCASIAN
MALE, CAUCASIAN, early 20’s. Joey is in the family concrete business and loves working with his hands. He’s known as the wisecracking pit crew member on the stock car pit crew. He’s direct and loves those around him but isn’t afraid of confrontation. (Must be comfortable riding on an ATV)

TERRY WILLERS – ACTOR ROLE – MALE – 38-45 YRS OLD – CAUCASIAN 
MALE, CAUCASIAN, early 40’s. Bob’s business partner and co-owner of the private hunting land. Terry is quiet, polite and is an outdoorsman. He loves his family and when he does talk, he talks proudly about his family, including his daughter, Jessica. (Must be comfortable handling a Rifle on set)

JESSICA WILLERS – ACTOR ROLE – FEMALE – 25-30 YRS OLD – CAUCASIAN
FEMALE, CAUCASIAN, late 20’s. Terry’s daughter, Jessica loves spending time with her father when she can. She’s bubbly and outgoing and fits in wherever she goes. With her nursing experience, she’s personable and empathetic but also enjoys hunting as an annual tradition.

DENNY DREW – ACTOR ROLE – MALE – 45-60 YRS OLD – CAUCASIAN 
MALE, CAUCASIAN, mid 50’s. He works with his best friend and brother-in-law, Lauren at an auto dealership. Denny is a people person and a well-known figure in his community. He’s gregarious and all smiles, not just those he loves but everyone he meets. (Must be comfortable riding on an ATV)

LAUREN HESEBECK – ACTOR ROLE – MALE – 40-50 YRS OLD – CAUCASIAN 
MALE, CAUCASIAN, late 40’s. Despite his big, athletic figure, he’s a friendly man and loves to hang out with his extended family. A humble man, he works hard and is always willing to help. (Must be comfortable riding on an ATV)

MARK ROIDT – NON-SPEAKING ROLE – MALE – 20-30 YRS OLD – CAUCASIAN 
MALE, CAUCASIAN, late 20’s. Funny and loves to have a good time. He’s a motorcycle and car enthusiast and enjoys auto racing. His enthusiasm for life is infectious.
