Hi, I’m Boaz Beeri, the CEO and Executive Producer here at Sandbox Inc. I’m passionate about people’s potential, the power of visual stories, and digital technology. Over the past 8 years, I’ve had the privilege of leading an amazing team at Sandbox, working with clients around the world who have a mission to improve people’s lives. We’re looking for more incredible and skillful team members to join and help us tackle a range of new and exciting projects.

Sandbox is a digital media agency fusing media and technology to develop customized solutions for our clients’ evolving needs. Our clients, such as UNICEF, World Health Organization, CAMH and TEDx, range within the public and not-for-profit sector, including government agencies, academic institutions, and intergovernmental and humanitarian organizations.

You will be joining a creative and passionate cross-functional team at the intersection of video production, technology, and content creation. We are a lean team of animators, designers, storytellers, technologists, and operational maestros. We carve out great ideas, we enjoy sharing knowledge, and we encourage progress in everything we do.

We’re looking for a mission-driven Producer who is curious and willing to experiment in mixed and innovative content. As the Producer, you will manage a portfolio of 7-10 projects at different stages of their production. Our projects are highly diverse, including but not limited to, live action, animation, mixed format, graphic design, and interactive web-based solutions.

The Opportunity

• Managing client relationships from the early stages of concept development through to the final delivery.
• Managing project execution and quality control from development to delivery.
• Leading creative concept development and defining the direction based on our client objectives, timeline, and budget.
• Collaborating with our Project Manager to strategically assemble project teams (from our in-house talent and freelance contractors).
• Providing creative direction to our project teams throughout the phases of production to ensure project goals are met.
• Supporting the professional growth of our in-house talent, from day-to-day mentorship to the annual performance review.

What You Bring to the Table

• Your professional background has been in film, animation, multimedia production, communications, and/or journalism.
• You are very organized with having managed multiple projects at different scales/complexity within dynamic timelines.
• You have a background in client relations and/or account management.
• You have coordinated and/or managed technical and creative talent.
• Your attention to detail is top-notch
• Your written and verbal communication is with diplomacy and with tact.

Bonus if you…

• Have previous experience in the realm of eLearning and EdTech products.
• Have completed post-secondary studies or other training equipping you with skills relevant to the opportunity.
• Are bilingual or know some French at an intermediate level.
• Have a driver’s license (Or, being able to travel and be on set as needed for live action productions).

The Interview Process

We thank all candidates for their interest. Only individuals invited to an interview will be contacted. The process will involve the following steps:

• Step 1: Remote 45-minute panel interview with Sandbox hiring manager and two team members
• Step 2: Remote 45-minute follow-up interview with hiring manager and one team member. This follow-up interview will involve a discussion based on a creative brief that the candidate will receive in advance.
• Step 3: Conduct References.

Location

The offices of Sandbox Inc. are located in downtown Toronto, just south of Trinity Bellwoods park. The Sandbox team has worked remotely since the onset of COVID-19 and is now experimenting with hybrid work. For the time being:

• Remote work continues as our main way of working
• Team members are welcome to work in the office, but must respect government guidelines regarding social distancing and mask wearing
• Team members are expected to attend meetings and social gatherings in the office periodically. At present, we expect team members to come to the office for meetings from 2 to 8 times per month.

This approach may change based on health conditions and how it works for the team. Adjustments may also be possible based on individual circumstances.
