Web Series Pilot Crew Call in Los Angeles

Greetings wonderful crew! I am a film and television production professional shooting a 12-minute web series pilot and am looking for crew. The show is a workplace dark comedy about the experiences of those in child advocacy, DCFS, and the colorful figures therein who turn to humor to get them through the day.

We will be shooting the weekend of October 23/24 and possibly the 30th under the SAG-AFTRA New Media Micro-budget contract. The budget is $20,000, which cannot go any higher due to the SAG contract. The shoot will have professional catering, craft services, and insurance. Cast of 14 principals (7 of them regulars) and 1 BG. We seek the positions listed below. If you are interested, please respond with your quote or fee, including any equipment that comes with you. We will not turn down volunteered time or equipment, but we will absolutely pay whatever we must to achieve a high-quality project. So don’t be shy! Ask what you feel you’re worth or are willing to be paid for this good-cause passion project! I serve on the Board of Directors of my local, so I am passionate about union rates and conditions. (PS: please vote YES on the IATSE strike authorization!!!) While the budget will not allow me to pay union wages, I will at least do my best to create union conditions.

NOTE: Because children under the age of 12 are part of the cast, and because they are not eligible for any COVID-19 vaccines, all crew MUST be fully vaccinated (and show proof) for the kids’ protection and yours. K95 masks, which will be provided, will also need to be worn at all times. I and my co-showrunner are both heavily involved in child advocacy and are mandated reporters. We will not put children at risk under any circumstances, so please do not apply if you are not vaxxed or will not wear a mask. No exceptions whatsoever.
