Directors Assist / Camera Person / Premiere

Job Position(s): Camera Operator, Assistant to director, Assist Editor

San Diego based young upbeat energetic Assistant to busy writer/director.

ABOUT THE JOB: This is a contract part time position that is perfect for entry level filmmakers who have fantastic organization skills, can lift fifty pounds and drive the director (and small carload of gear) from location to location for shoots (will pay for your gas, parking and food on any shoot days). There’s a lot of last minute impromptu shooting, so if your other gigs are flexible that is helpful.

ABOUT YOU: Fast, energetic mover who is very trust worthy and funny and loves learning new camera tricks, who truly loves the process of making cool stuff! I direct a ton of comedy for major outlets and brands so I seek an upbeat, youthful assistant who my clients and cast will love!

Someone who can also be strong and bossy when dealing with certain challenges, but has a really positive and warm demeanor overall. Someone chatty and focused!

You must be willing to dress nice whiloe carrying gear (our gear is light, mostly 400watt lights. A large portion of our content is shot on the iphone (sometimes with cinema prime lenses).

DUTIES:

Includes but not limited to:

• Picking up food and props

• Driving director to shoots

• Attending occasional client video calls during bidding and planning

• Assist in casting, booking locations, etc

• Posting to social
• Prepping for and attending shoots
• Organization, google sheets
• Good with iPhone
• some light editing skills
• professional appearance
• Extremely reliable
