Associate Video Editor/Producer

Rocky Kanaka is seeking a creative and experienced visual storyteller to join our team. This role requires sourcing and crafting an emotional and compelling storyline that immediately grabs viewers’ attention and keeps them engaged until the very end. You will be producing videos from start to finish, sourcing the content, interviewing, scripting the story and delivering the final product. You’ll search high and low, finding clips that are visually and emotionally compelling with the understanding of data/analytics to produce videos that reach a wide audience on Rocky Kanaka’s Facebook, YouTube and other social platforms. Must have great people skills, tenacity, attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at a time, work independently while also taking feedback to produce the best possible videos, have exceptional time management to meet deadlines, and of course, must love dogs!

About Rocky Kanaka:

Rocky and his team work hard to highlight pets in need. His YouTube and Facebook channels aim to spread awareness about pet adoption, fostering and volunteering through entertaining content with the goal of inspiring his audience to help animals in their own community. Rocky is an Emmy nominated creator due to his passion for telling stories of animals that might otherwise be passed by. Rocky has 3 rescue dogs of his own, a 9 year old Boxer named Flip who barely survived distemper as a puppy, a 13 year old Terrier mix named Zoey, who is the boss of the house, his first ever foster-fail named Kobe, a blind Cane Corso puppy in constant heart failure, along with the numerous other dogs that he has fostered over the years.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
