Seeking a Canadian Cinematographer & 1st AC
(both fully paid positions, rate plus travel and accommodations)
PRODUCTION TYPE: 90-min Feature Film (fully funded)
SHOOT DATES: July 5 – August 6, 2021 (tentative)
LOCATION: Winnipeg, Manitoba
ABOUT: The film is a coming-of-age road movie drama with a visual style reminiscent of 1970s cinema, shot in an impressionistic style and colored in soft pastels. Shooting either S16mm film or Alexa Mini.
VISUAL REFERENCES: Paris Texas, Badlands, Out of the Blue, Boys Don’t Cry, The Old Man & the Gun
DETAILS: The production team would like a prep period with the right candidate in order to hone the shot list and visual style. We are a dedicated team and are seeking an ambitious and committed DP with whom to create a film that is stunning and beautiful.
Experience filming underwater an asset.
Production is COVID compliant and will follow all province of Manitoba COVID-19 on-set safety guidelines and protocols for film and TV productions.
