We are seeking a Cinematographer willing to travel for a non-union feature film shooting in Winnipeg, Manitoba and the surrounding area this summer.

$8,500 flat rate. Production will cover travel and accommodation for the 5-week shoot plus 2-week prep period.

Tentative dates are July 5 – August 6, 2021.

The film is a father-daughter road trip drama with a 70s aesthetic. Shooting either S16mm film or Alexa Mini.

Visual References: Out of the Blue (Dennis Hopper), Paris Texas, Badlands, Boys Don’t Cry, Old Man & the Gun, Midnight Cowboy

The production team would like a lengthy prep period with the right candidate in order to hone the shot list, tone, and visual style (i.e. flexibility to work remotely, speaking via Zoom and email periodically for the months leading up to the shoot). We are a meticulous and dedicated team and are seeking an ambitious and committed DP with whom to create a film that is stunning and beautiful.

Experience with underwater filming preferred.
