Script Supervisor

Job brief:

We are looking for an experienced Script Supervisor on an independent feature film we are planning to shoot spring 2021.Script supervisors work in the television and movie industries and maintain the script continuity during all stages of filming and production. They may help actors and directors interpret the script, maintain logs of daily scene shots and include production notes and suggestions to help maintain the continuity.

This is a 1970’s period piece set and shot in NYC and the right candidate will need to be based in NYC (or surrounding commutable cities such as Philadelphia and New Jersey). Rate is $250.00 per day.

Job Description:

• Breakdown the script for various elements including costume, location, time of day, etc.
  Take copious notes on everything that was shot, including slate info, take numbers, length of takes.
  Listens to dialog and informs cast of deviations from script.
  Provide the editor and post-production team their collected notes for reference.
  May write synopsis of production for advertising or publicity purpose.

Requirements:

• The ability to adjust to intermittent schedules, and to travel to various filming locations as needed.
• Excellent organizational skills, agility and speed and effective communication skills
• Precise attention to detail
• Diplomacy and sensitivity on set
• Must be fluent in English; ability to understand French is a MUST
• Knowledge of the requirements of the relevant health and safety legislation and procedures
• Stay up to date with latest best practices, tools and technology in your field.
• Excellent organizational skills, agility and speed and effective communication skills
• Aptitude in problem-solving
