Hi folks!
In need of two female ACTORS (one Filipina, one Caucasian) for a non-union, 60 second teaser which will be used to seek funding for an upcoming short film:
SINCLAIR: Children of Katipunan (Mga Anak ng Katipunan).
LOCATION: TORONTO, ONE-DAY SHOOT
PAY: Honorarium
  1. LADY SORA (25, FILIPINA, TAGALOG LINES)- A fictional/fantastical reimagining of “Tandang Sora”, Lady Sora’s ability to foresee the inevitable Darkness that will eventually destroy her land finds a way to send her only daughter to an alternate reality in hopes of living a better life and to never know the Darkness from her home world. (Lines will be in Tagalog, must be able to speak the language)
  2. CLARA (25, CAUCASIAN, ENGLISH LINES) – Bearing the Flame of Sinclair, (an amalgamation of Dr. Rizal and Andres Bonifacio) Clara bears the burden of being able to hear multiple languages but not be able to speak it. This ability comes at a cost, however, as she fights to overcome the Darkness slowly consuming her, the very same Darkness Lady Sora wanted to protect her from.
SINCLAIR: Children of Katipunan is a Dark Fantasy Drama about a Canadian woman who learns of the nature of her mother and the means she went through in order to protect her.
The film makes references to various Filipino historical figures such as Dr. Rizal, Bonifacio, etc but is solely grounded in the realm of Fantasy Realism/Dark Fantasy.
