Video Editor NY

We are seeking a Video Editor Contract to support our content team in its mission to provide engaging video content to customers. This is an opportunity to help shape the teams multimedia content and ensure consistency as we scale.
The Video Editor will be responsible for editing scripted content for substantive legal training videos geared toward lawyers. The ideal candidate is a visual storyteller who will work closely with internal subject matter experts to edit and augment videos with visual elements and high-quality audio. Candidate must be a passionate versatile editor capable of collaborating on a variety of projects at one time and dedicated to delivering video content that passes a high bar for quality and creativity. The Video Editor will be fluent in the latest video tools/trends and contribute engaging work to the team.
Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with internal subject matter experts to create visually engaging and compelling content that brings legal concepts to life
End-to-end video editing of scripted content
Import mix and level audio recordings
Quickly assemble edits and implement notes
Ensure consistent quality across videos
Improve processes including streamlining workflows and progress reporting
Adhere to video standards and guidelines in line with overall product and brand

Qualifications Skills Experience
4 years experience in video production editing motion graphics/design or related field
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Apps and relevant 3rd party software
Strong understanding of video capabilities and motion graphics/design
Current awareness of trends in video editing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong collaboration skills work ethic and commitment to learning
Ability to self-manage and organize workloads around deadlines
Experience in the legal industry a plus
