A startling confrontation between two old friends polarized by political events leads to a riveting and philosophical discussion about passion, truth, protest, democracy and what it means to leave a better world for future generations.

In an extravagant office in New York City, Mattie and Jamie begin a conversation that leads each back through their shared history to discover the origin of their beliefs and political views. Mattie is a creative executive trying to succeed in a male-dominated industry. Jamie, an ex-lawyer, relates the experience that led to her quitting her practice to open up a non-profit organization.
