ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Videographer will work closely with the creative team to plan, capture, and deliver professional video content that aligns with GCA’s creative standards. Working under the creative direction of the Senior Producer, the Videographer will be responsible for handling on-site shoots and post-production while following established brand guidelines, workflows, and storytelling styles.
Duties & Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-Production
- Receive and interpret production briefs, shot lists,
- Prepare and organise shoot equipment, locations, and talent
- independently.
- Ensure the readiness of all technical aspects before each shoot.
Production
- Film professional-quality video content (elevator pitches, corporate interviews, live cross shoots, brand content, etc.).
- Handle camera operation, lighting, and audio setup independently.
- Ensure all footage adheres to GCA’s brand visual standards and creative direction.
Post-Production
- Edit raw footage into polished videos, applying branding, graphics, and subtitles where required and according to brand guidelines.
- Deliver final content within agreed timelines and formats.
- Ensure smooth and secure file management
Collaboration & Reporting
- Maintain clear communication with the Senior Producer throughout projects.
- Share footage for review and apply feedback efficiently.
- Collaborate remotely with the wider GCA creative team to ensure consistency.
Equipment & Workflow
- Responsible for security, maintenance, and care of assigned production equipment.
- Recommend local solutions and creative approaches when challenges arise.
- Stay updated on industry-standard techniques to continuously elevate quality.
Desired Experience & Qualification
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- A portfolio showcasing creative storytelling through short films, class projects, or documentary-style videos.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition (or equivalent).
- Skilled with cameras (DSLR or mirrorless), lighting setups, and audio capture tools.
- Able to manage the full video lifecycle independently — from brief to delivery, with a willingness to learn and grow under guidance.
- Comfortable working with real people (non-actors) and interviewing them with sensitivity and respect.
- Strong understanding of social media video formats and digital distribution needs.
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication – especially when giving direction or coaching.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Film school graduate or equivalent training in Film, Media, Visual Arts, or a related discipline.
- Practical experience with video production and editing through student films, internships, or personal projects.
- A portfolio demonstrating creative storytelling and advanced editing skills is required.
