As a Production Assistant, you have great communication, passion for financial news, organizational skills and work well in a collaborative team environment. If you thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing setting and have a go-getter, solution-oriented mindset, this role is a great opportunity to launch your career in business news and learn industry best practices!A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:– Create, order, and distribute graphics- Work collaboratively with segment producers and the graphics department to bring complex economic research and charts to life- Research and pitch story & guest ideas regularly and see segments through from start to finish- Compile and organize all guest notes ahead of the show- Cut video and compelling soundbites- Write teases, intros for the show- Edit and produce segmentsWHAT YOU WILL NEED:– Strong digital and social media skills- Experience with Dalet and other video editing software preferred- A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience- Past Internship experience in broadcast media preferred- Excellent communication and organizational skills- A keen interest in business and financial news- The ability to thrive under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment- A proactive, self-starter attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn- Flexibility to work varied hours as news demandsWe will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable law.Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $19.00-25.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
