Job Description:

As part of the NBS Corporate Communications & External Relations unit within the College of Business (Nanyang Business School) in NTU, the Videographer will create high-quality, engaging video content to enhance the visibility of NBS as the nexus for innovation, research and business education, both in Singapore and globally.

This role requires a mix of technical expertise, creativity and storytelling skills to produce videos that resonate with diverse audiences across multiple platforms. He/She will need to work closely with different stakeholders across NBS to achieve the intended impact for each initiative/programme, while ensuring alignment with the School’s positioning and NTU Brand guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Videography

  • Plan, shoot, and edit video content for events, promotional campaigns and social media.

  • Conceptualise, storyboard and execute compelling visual narratives

  • Operate and maintain videography equipment, including cameras, stabilisers, lighting, and audio recording tools, to ensure high production quality

  • Drone videography experience is an advantage (a valid drone operator’s licence is a plus.)

  •  2. Post-Production 

  • Edit and enhance raw footage into polished videos with smooth transitions, colour correction, and refined sound design.

  • Create short-form content optimised for digital platforms such as Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. 

  •  3. Content Optimisation (Preferred)

  • Stay informed about video marketing trends and experiment with new techniques to improve engagement

  • Optimise video content for search engines and social media algorithms to maximise reach

  • Manage and organise video content on YouTube and other distribution platforms.

  •  4. Collaboration and Equipment Management

  • Work closely with internal teams to develop cohesive storytelling that aligns with NBS’s positioning

  • Maintain video and photography equipment to ensure peak performance, and recommend tools or software to enhance production quality. 

  •  Requirements:

  • A degree/diploma in mass communication visual communication, or a related field

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in videography, editing and multimedia production

  • Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects

  • Creative, with a strong understanding of lighting, composition and audio recording techniques. 

  • Experience in motion graphics, animation (e.g., After Effects), 3D camera work is a plus 

  • Familiarity with drone videography and relevant aviation regulations

  • Strong communication skills, adaptability and a collaborative mindset

  • Ability to plan and execute video shoots and manage post-production independently

  • Flexibility to handle multiple projects and adapt to last-minute changes in schedules or requirements. 

  • Physically capable of managing onsite videography/ photography tasks, including setting up and transporting equipment
