Job Description:

Proto Thema is expanding its video team and we’re on the lookout for a passionate and creative Junior Video Editor. If you love crafting stories through video, have an eye for detail, and want to grow within a fast-paced digital newsroom, we’d love to hear from you.

Whether you’re just starting out or already have some hands-on experience with tools like Adobe Premiere, Kapwing, or other editing platforms, we welcome you to bring your energy and talent to our team.

Requirements

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Kapwing, Final Cut, or similar).
  • Understanding of aspect ratios, resolutions, and formats for digital platforms.
  • Good sense of pacing, storytelling, and attention to visual detail.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic editorial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Edit shortand medium-form video content for web and social media.
  • Work closely with our editorial and social media teams to produce timely, engaging videos.
  • Add subtitles, basic motion graphics, and visual effects when needed.
  • Optimize video formats for various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
  • Help brainstorm creative ways to visualize the news and trending stories.
