*Job Summary*The Project Manager is primarily responsible for the successful execution of powerline construction projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. The Project Manager works closely with the Vice President to make sure the scope and direction of the project is completed safely, on schedule and within budget.*Responsibilities** Assists in defining the scope and objectives of a project, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility;* Ensures resource availability and allocation;* Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors;* Develops detailed project plans and monitors/tracks progress;* Manages any changes to the project scope, schedule and costs;* Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques;* Performs risk management to minimize project risks;* Ensures quality standards of the project and the company are being met;* Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation;* Successfully manages the relationship between the client and all stakeholders;* Establishes and maintains relationships with third party vendors;* Adheres to all company workplace policies, standard, procedures and safe work practices; and,* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.*CANDIDATE PROFILE:** Minimum 2+ years of project management experience in the electrical construction industry or similar;* EPC experience including linear project construction;* A Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering and/or a PMP certification would be an asset;* Must be willing to travel frequently, sometimes working out of remote locations, for multiple weeks at a time;* Proven leadership managing a team and performance management skills;* Strong problem solving abilities including root cause analysis;* Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills;* High attention to detail and the ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment;* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively in order to meet deadlines;* Self-starter who is also able to work cohesively in a team atmosphere; and,* Must have a valid driver?s license.*WORKING CONDITIONS:** Extensive computer work in an office environment;* Regular travel to project sites sometimes requiring long drives, overnight stays and/or an extended shift schedule; and,* Project sites may require traversing uneven ground and have the chance for encounter with wildlife and insects.Job Type: Full-timeAdditional pay:* Bonus pay* Overtime payBenefits:* Casual dress* Company car* Company events* Dental care* Employee assistance program* Extended health care* Life insurance* On-site parking* Paid time off* RRSP match* Vision careFlexible language requirement:* French not requiredEducation:* Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)Experience:* Project management: 2 years (preferred)Work Location: On the road
