The videographer will create content for a range of audiences to build awareness, drive engagement and enhance the reputation of the division. Job Related Minimum Required Education and ExperienceRequires a bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in media arts, graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism or public relations preferred.
  • Proven experience in video production, photography; including shooting, editing and post-production
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud including but not limited to Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong understanding of storytelling, visual composition and cinematic techniques
  • Knowledge of camera operation, lighting, audio recording and other video production equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines
  • Excellent communications and creative thinking skills, with an ability to effectively present to clients and communicate underlying strategies
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Familiarity with usage rights, licensing and copyright laws
  • Ability to create within defined brand standards
  • Ability to work as a team player, demonstrate personal initiative and inspire colleagues
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Job DutiesJob DutyConceptualize, plan, and execute video shoots, ensuring high-quality footage, sound and lighting. Edit raw footage to create visually appealing videos, incorporating graphics, music, voiceovers and other elements as needed. Use professional video editing software and techniques to produce polished final products. Ensure that videos align with the university’s brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in style, tone and messaging. Optimize videos for different platforms and formats, including websites, social media channels, email campaigns and digital signage.

Job DutyCapture high-quality photographs that represent the division’s activities, achievements and people. Attend events and other activities to document important moments and interactions.Edit and retouch photographs to enhance their quality, clarity and visual impact. Collaborate with the different department areas to provide visual assets for social media, website, print materials and other communication channels. Adhere to copyright laws and ethical photography practices, respecting the privacy and consent of individuals being photographed.

Job DutyWork closely with clients to understand their needs and collaborate with communications and marketing team members to align content with broader division goals. Keep team members and clients informed of all project statuses in real time via production management software, verbal communication and other reports. Facilitate meetings with group/client when necessary.
